I dreamed about him, again. But this time, it wasn’t as pleasant. He was sort of rude to me, which hurt. Maybe it’s my subconscious telling me to stop thinking about him. It’s been three weeks since I’ve seen his adorable face and his bubbly personality and heard his laugh that I love so much. His hipster glasses, skinny jeans, and Converse look gives him a down-to-earth vibe with just enough youthfulness without being pretentious. I miss him so much, it hurts.

So, my high school alma mater’s graduation is today. And the first lady is speaking. Yeah, Michelle Obama. What is my life? Oh well. I could say that I wish I was one year younger so I could be a part of this, but the truth, is…I’m so happy to be a part of my high school’s Class of 2012. We were the best, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Sure, they get the excitement of having an enormously famous and influential speaker. And all the security must be a little exciting and glamorous. I mean, when Mrs. Obama came to UNC last October (I didn’t get to see her), South Rd. was basically shut off. It was crazy. It’s funny, how in the past year, Michelle has almost been in my life…twice. But never saw her. Either in Chapel Hill, or in Nashville. But, I have seen Drake. I sat 10ft from him. And now, whenever I hear “Started from the Bottom” on the radio - I smile.

Obviously, they’re implying that right-wing folks are the over-organized and All-American folk, while liberals are supposedly open-minded and eclectic. Hardly the first people to draw an association between political party and personality. *eye-roll* Not sure how this is even scientific.

There’s too much overlap, people who fit a mix of qualities characterized by these two extremes. Most people, as I learned in Psychology 101, lie in the middle on a continuum for the Big 5 personality traits.

I like to keep things organized and have a shameless affinity for calendars. Yet, I love art, music, and other forms of self-expression as much as any other leftie hipster does. I suppose that reflects my political moderateness (economic conservative, social liberal…I know this is a false ideal that does not exist in the real world…whatever). But I imagine this mix of personal qualities can be found in even the extremes of the political continuum.
